Timofey Samsonov

Senior research fellow at Faculty of Geography, Lomonosov Moscow State University. Head of Automation lab at Department of Catography and Geoinformatics.

Born in 1986 in Dubna, Moscow Region, Russia.
Graduated from Lomonosov MSU in 2007 with excellence.
Received his Ph.D degree in 2010. Theme of PhD thesis is «Multiscale mapping of topography using geodatabases» (supervisor — professor Irina K. Lurie).
Postdoctoral researcher at Faculty of Geography since 2012.

Scientific interests include multiscale modeling, hierarchical structures, spatial analysis and generalization, theoretical geoinformatics, automation in cartography.
