Nickolai Erokhovets was born on June 12, 1986. In 2003 he graduated from Lyceum BSU, in 2008 — from Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 2011 he defended the PhD thesis “Maximal torus actions on moment-angle manifolds” under the supervision of corresponding member of RAS Victor Buchstaber. Since 2011 Nickolai Erokhovets is a junior research fellow at the Department of Geometry and Topology at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The research field of N. Erokhovets includes toric topology (the theory of Buchstaber invariant) and polytope theory (the problem of flag numbers, the Gal conjecture).

N. Erokhovets is an author of 5 scientific publications. He gave talks at many international scientific conferences and scientific seminars in Russia and abroad. In 2011 he became a winner of contest for young mathematicians sponsored by Dmitry Zimin's foundation “Dynasty”.
